Introducing the new SP AL TELESCOPIC edge restraint product range. The term TELESCOPIC in this range encapsulates the competetive advantage of these profiles; namely, that their length can be telescopically extended.

Profiles within this range are manufactured of high grade recyclable aluminium.

Standard measurements of the upstands are 90/60 and 120/80 mm but measurements can be adjusted to custom fit the specs/ requirements of your project upon demand.

This range comprises both linear and prefabricated corner profiles.

Length of the linear profiles are adjustable between 2 to 3.9 metres. We call them the SP AL Telescopic for short.

Length of the prefabricated corners can be extended from 250 mm to 640 mm. We call them the SP-C AL Telescopic for short.

SHORT FORMS AND THEIR EXTENDED VERSION

Below is a brief explaination of the short terms used for the product items in this range:

• SP AL 90/60 Telescopic: Separation Profile made of Aluminium with interchangeable upright sides of 90 and 60 mm and a Telescopic extension to adjust the length of the profile anywhere between 2 - 3.9 metres
• SP AL 120/80 Telescopic: Separation Profile made of Aluminium with interchangeable upright sides of 90 and 60 mm and a Telescopic extension to adjust the length of the profile anywhere between 2 - 3.9 metres
• SP-C AL 90/60 Telescopic: Separation Profile - for prefabricated Corner modules made of Aluminium with interchangeable upright sides of 90 and 60 mm and a Telescopic extension to adjust the length of the profile anywhere between 250 and 640 mm
• SP-C AL 120/80 Telescopic: Separation Profile - for prefabricated Corner modules made of Aluminium with interchangeable upright sides of 120 and 80 mm and a Telescopic extension to adjust the length of the profile anywhere between 250 and 640 mm

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

SP AL Telescopic is an L-shaped separation profile made from high-grade recyclable aluminium. It comprises a telescopically extendable interior profile fitted into the original 2 metre long profile. This interior profile can slide out up to 3.9 metres. The standard depth of the vertical and horizontal upstands are 90/60 and 120/80 mm. These upstands are interchangeable in terms of their upright side application. Lateral perforations are present in a regular pattern of seven adjacent slits eight times along the 2000 mm long profile - the available form of the product for delivery. These lateral perforations take up a wave shape and are identical in form and size. Each of them is 80 mm long – 40 mm on each side of the L-shape – and 3 mm wide. Effective drainage capacity of these perforations is 6720 mm²/linear metre. The length of the linear SP AL Telescopic can be set between 2 and 3.9 metres by telescopically sliding the extendable part to the desired length and securing it with the locking clip which is included with the product. The SP AL Telescopic range includes the SP-C AL Telescopic which are the prefabricated corner modules in this range. The letter “C” stands for corner. The measurement of a corner module in this range is 250 x 250 mm on each side. Extension profiles of 500 mm length are available for corner modules in this range. Collectively, i.e. a corner module with the aid of an extension piece can be extended to a maximum length of 640mm.

APPLICATION AREA

The SP AL Telescopic profile range is manufactured by ArchiGreen^® to fulfill the following conventional roles stipulated in the German FLL Guidelines: line of demarcation on extensive green roofs / ballast retention trim for various aggregates (eg: gravel, substrate)/ erosion reducing kerb/ raised edge retainer on flat roofs where no parapet is available.
SP AL Telescopic gravel stops are held in place by the overlying ballast consisting of green roof substrate or a layer of gravel. No need for any underlying roof membrane (including the waterproofing) to be penetrated.

WHY USE SP AL TELESCOPIC PROFILES?

  • no need to cut profiles on site as the length of the profile can be telescopically adjusted by sliding the internal profile known as the extender anywhere between 2 to 3.9 metres. Once the desired length is set then with the aid of the locking clip the pre-set length is secured.
  • more linear metres can be stored on the same pallet and thus more linear metres can be delivered at the same cost:
    • SP AL 90/60 Telescopic (aluminium plate thickness: 0.8mm): 702 linear metres / pallet
    • SP AL 100/80 Telescopic (aluminium plate thickness: 1mm): 585 linear metres / pallet
    • SP AL 120/80 Telescopic (aluminium plate thickness: 1mm): 585 linear metres / pallet
• prefabricated corners are available in this range – their angles can be bent anywhere between 88° and 359°
• ample drainage via the aesthetic wave-shaped perforations - effective drainage capacity: 6720 mm²/linear metre

PREFABRICATED CORNERS SP-C AL TELESCOPIC

The letter "C" in SP-C AL Telescopic stands for prefabricated Corner modules.

We have ready-made corner modules. Measurements: 250 x 250 mm on each side. Click on the underlined word to view the corner modules in the last image among the pictures.

With the aid of a 500 mm extension profile the length of a corner module can be extended to a maximum of 640 mm.
