The ArchiGreen® LE 175 is a bendable lawn edging metal profile made from galvanised steel. The measurements of the rectangular-shaped LE 175 lawn edging steel profile are 1.5 metres in length x 175 mm depth. Its weight is 2.21 kg/lineal metre. The thickness of the steel plate used in its production is 1 mm. However, the top quarter of the ArchiGreen® LE 175 is bent back (see legend: No.1) to blunt the upper edge (2 mm in thickness) of the lawn edging delivering a safer solution to install in the garden or on an intensive green roof. However, when installing the ArchiGreen® LE 175 on a roof it must be ascertained that the depth of the engineered green roof medium is no less than 40 cm and its compressibility is below 10%. Moreover, a protection layer of robustness class GRK 4 (e.g. ArchiGreen® PL 800) or higher and a double-sided polystyrene drainage layer (e.g. ArchiGreen® SedumDrain® 25) with gravel infill is to be part of the green roof build-up where the ArchiGreen® LE 175 is installed on a roof.

The bent back side of the edging is bent again, 48 mm from the upper edge, at a right angle forming the stiffening flange (see legend: No.2). The functions of the stiffening flange are to reinforce the edging profile, to house the anchoring holes and to provide space for the clip-out triangular perforations. The anchoring holes (see legend: No.7) are 10 mm in diameter and can accommodate steel nails of 8 mm in diameter to secure the profiles at the installed locations. The clip-out triangular perforations (see legend: No.6) serve the bendability of the LE 175 lawn edging profile. The stiffening flange runs along the complete length of the backside of the profile all the way into the connector which is fixed to one end of the edging profile with two steel rivets (see legend: No.8). The connector (see legend: No.3) facilitates alignment of the LE 175 lawn edgings when abutted at the ends via its steel binding comb (see legend: No.5). The reverse L-shaped upper edging of the connector, the level (see legend: No.4), slides right below the stiffening flange of the adjoined profile thereby ensuring that the aligned edging profiles remain at level. With the aid of a snips hand tool, the clip-out triangular perforations can be easily cut out at the locations where the profile is to be bent allowing the ArchiGreen® LE 175 to follow with ease the arches that are common in pathways and borders.
