As per image with the help of a 13 mm open-ended spanner it is easy to release and tighten the hex nuts at the required height once the steel frame is raised to level.

As per image once the hex nuts are tightened, these serrated lock washers ensure that the grating does not slide down along the height adjustment lane found in the steel frame but stays firm in place.
